This globulous-shaped cactus is a stunner! S. pruinosus should be planted in the grittiest mix & kept in a south facing window. A powdery bloom at the new growth of the plant is a natural, healthy development & should not be removed or wiped away. Allow to dry completely between thorough watering & hold back water during winter dormancy almost entirely. A slow grower, but vivid blooms make it worth it.
