Crowdfunding FAQs
Why Crowdfund?
Well, this was an opportunity we couldn't pass up & we're so grateful to our friends who helped make it happen! While opening up a shop -without wheels- has always been a part of our business plan, this opportunity has moved things up quite a bit on the timeline. With your support we know we can close the gap to get things up & running without skipping a beat. We're beyond excited to bring you fun & intentional offerings & to share our gratitude with you in our new space.
Does this mean no more Plantmobile?
Heck no! We'll still be on the road, joining some of our favorite events & supporting the people who helped us build our business & our incredible community! You might see us popping-up a little less, but you'll actually get to see way more of us. Just come on down to the shop!
When will I receive my goodies?
Our opening date isn't set in stone yet, but we can say for sure that doors will open in July or August, 2025. As soon as we know, you'll know! Just make sure you're signed up for our newsletter & you'll be the first to receive info & our Crowdfund Backer workshop schedules!
What if I need my Crowdfunding gift shipped?
Only our Sticking With Ya & The Top tiers can be shipped, since our other support tiers include workshops & require you to get your buns into the shop. If you'd like to have your items shipped or share your in-person gift with a friend, just let us know & we'll handle the details!
Why not GoFundMe, IndieGoGo, etc.?
We couldn't find a crowdfunding platform that met all of our needs. One was all or nothing, another wouldn't let us offer rewards, & so forth. Just like any other purchase made through our website, your support is fully protected & secure, allowing us to offer you workshops & other goodies in an easy, comprehensive way!
What else?
Well, the facts is we're getting old, pal. 🤪 I (Leeann, founder & lead potter) have some bummer degenerative spine issues to deal with & a brick & mortar will lessen the strain of the relentless set-up & tear-down of markets; meaning I'll be able to keep making pottery & bringing y'all beautiful plants & plant education that much longer. I put this part at the end because it's tough to talk about, so if you're still reading, you're a real one. Come by the shop & remind me to lift with my knees!
